HS International Youth Online –
Music Competition Germany April 9-April 27, 2021
“Look forward to your light blooming”
In 2020, the new novel coronavirus has swept the world, which becomes an unprecedented challenge to the development of music and cultural exchanges around the world. In many places scheduled concert performances were forced to be cancelled; various music competitions were also cancelled or postponed; and some musicians sadly lost their lives due to infection.
To resume interrupted connection in the world music community and ease the trauma caused by the virus to the global music field, many German national music academies, musician associations and symphony orchestras have joined forces to develop a brand new music exchange concepts and an exciting music competition program – German HS International Youth Online Music Competition. All performance videos will be certified by an international jury.
This event can be more conveniently to achieve “competition on the same platform” through the Internet, without having to incur high traveling expenses. Contestants only need to record performance videos that meet the specifications according to the requirements of the competition, and to upload them to the designated website within the designated registration time.
To encourage the fairness of the competition to the greatest extent, we have assembled a 12-member adjudication panel. They are from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, Musikhochschule Lübeck , Hochschule für Musik Mainz, Konservatorium Schwerin, the Bayerische Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester, Hamburger Sinfoniker, Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz und Musikverein Klein-Winternheim e.V.. We sincerely hope that the German HS International Youth Online Music Competition can become a platform for showcase of musical talent from different countries and regions and at different ages, and we hope that every contestant can get the results he or she expects.
We look forward to your participation!
Description of the adjudication evaluation:
The adjudication panel will be divided into groups based on their musical instrument profession and professional mix, with at least 3 experts in each group. Scoring will be conducted in different venues, and the final score is the average of the sum of the scores of the three adjudicators. We guarantee that the personal views of each adjudicator are strictly confidential, and the final results of the contestants will be mailed to the hands of the contestants within 14 workdays after finishing the competition.
Note: The decision of the adjudication panel is final and cannot be appealed. If you decide to register for this event, it means you have approved the terms.
