Prof. Christian Packmohr has been a trumpeter at the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock （Northgerman Philharmonic Orchestra）since 1990, and has been solo trumpeter since 1996.

In addition to his orchestral work, he has been teaching at the Rostock University of Music and Theater since 1998, where he heads the brass department. In October 2014 he was awarded an honorary professorship by the hmt Rostock（Rostock University of Music and Drama）. He also teaches at the Rostock leisure center.

For the international Bach Academy Stuttgart Prof. Christian Packmohr worked as a teacher in Romania and Ukraine. In 2001 and 2018 he accepted an invitation to China as a speaker and lecturer. He devotes himself intensively to chamber music activities in various formations and to the baroque trumpet. As a soloist he appears with the “Mecklenburg Chamber Soloists” of the North German Philharmonic and the organist KMD Christiane Werbs. Several CDs for trumpet and organ were recorded with Christiane Werbs.
